VISUAL-EU · Project objectives
From EU visibility to informed participation
The general objective of VISUAL-EU is to strengthen knowledge and visibility of the European Union’s values, policies and initiatives among Polish higher education institutions and wider academic and civic audiences. The project uses visual, interactive and practice-oriented approaches to make European Studies more understandable, accessible and relevant.
Five specific objectives
A clear route from resources to impact
Each objective answers a different need: accessible digital resources, applied teaching, evidence-based research, public dialogue and practical institutional guidance.
Objective 01 · Digital access
Build an open visual learning hub
Develop the VISUAL-EU Hub as an interactive digital platform featuring accessible resources on EU policies, values and success stories, supported by visual maps, infographics, case studies and spaces for discussion.
Objective 02 · Applied learning
Turn European Studies into practice
Design a syllabus and deliver four interdisciplinary modules during winter and summer schools, using visual and interactive methods to explain EU governance, policy communication, values in action and European citizenship.
Objective 03 · Research
Generate evidence for visual pedagogy
Investigate visual-oriented methods for teaching EU-related topics and translate the findings into research articles and policy briefs for academic and professional audiences.
Objective 04 · Public engagement
Bring EU knowledge into public dialogue
Disseminate EU values, policies and initiatives through the Hub, website, social media, schools, publications, conferences and roundtables that support inclusive debate on the EU’s role in education and society.
Objective 05 · Institutional guidance
Convert experience into practical guidance
Prepare the guidance document Visualization of the EU at Polish HEIs for Polish ministries and public authorities, supporting stronger knowledge, integration and visibility of EU values and initiatives in higher education.
